Innovation is Alive in Our Contest Labs

Contests are a main attraction to any golf event. but how can you really stay ahead of the pack and offer something unique to your participants-- something that will wow your sponsors and draw more attention to your tournament? Well, for starters, you can contact us and ask our creative team to design something spectacular just for you. Whether it is the perfect package to meet your needs or a contest you are envisioning, we are definitely here to help you pull it off.

As for our newest addition, we are creating a ball drop contest where all of the participants select a numbered ball, and then a crane hoists the box 60 feet in the air. When the golf balls drop, the one closest to the cup wins a Treetop stay and play vacation prize package.

Here is a quick behind the scenes look at our innovations lab in action:

The first obstacle was creating a box that would drop the balls on cue from the crane. We fabricated the rig you see in the picture below to do the job. The box itself will be adorned with the sponsors’ logos when the event is unveiled.

Then we took the box and rigging to the street and tested it with a crane of our own. As you can see in the video our creative staff had fun dropping the balls and putting the whole contest through several test runs.

Then we did our first scaled down test with a forklift inside our warehouse:

The second test was from a crane we had set up at our corporate headquarters:
